This is a 1948 Chrysler Windsor Traveler in amazingly good original condition. This car has little if any rusted through body metal. As far as we can tell the paint is original with the exception of the passenger rear fender, which has been replaced, and does not match the rest of the car. The interior appears to be all original other than the faces of the front seat back and bottom. From what we have read it sounds like the roof mounted luggage rack was available on these cars, but not necessarily installed on all of them. There is no sign of one ever being installed on this car. This is a great car needing very little to be a dependable driver. The flathead 6 cylinder starts easy and runs very smooth and quiet. The fluid drive, semi-automatic transmission is smooth and operates like it should. The lights, heater, wipers are all in working condition. We do have the original hubcaps, but no beauty rings. $17,500.00 |
